- Have a balanced stance with:
hands relaxed
feet spread wider than shoulder width
body facing home plate
face and eyes facing the pitcher
elbows down
- As the ball comes toward the plate, the player's handsgo directly toward the ball.
- The back foot turns toward the ball.
- Eyes stay focused on the ball.
- The player hits the ball out in front of home plate.
