Start out in the "K" position. This is the position the pitcher's
body is in when he or she has taken their stride toward the plate, their
glove hand is pointing toward the target and their ball hand is at its
highest point. If you look at the body from the third base side, it
resembles the letter "K". As the pitcher brings his or her
ball hand around toward the release point, they should push off of the
rubber with their trail foot violently so it squares their body to the
target. This does a couple of different things. First it adds some power
to their release and secondly, it squares their body to the target making
it easier to be more consistent.
